lonely theatre (2018)

Starting with a chosen object: puzzled lion necklace, I made it connected with topic puppetry. Puppet is individual miniature system that hides under human shapes. Mimicking human movements to tell stories is their mission. I also inspired myself with my own experience as a ballet dancer and feeling of loneliness and being controlled when I was young.

So, in this mini collection I put details that show waves and curves when moving and tried to drape some weird shapes to bring more theatrical elements in. Concept of “body without organs”, which origins from theater field, is also used in the process of development to encourage audience to embrace with themselves and enjoy the solitary moment.
